The Boomers+ are a group of active seniors, 50 and over, who enjoy the camaraderie of others under the sponsorship of the Federation. There are informal social events every few months with no pre-established agenda. It could be a dinner, a brunch or any other type of entertainment offering the group a fun time and a chance to meet new or rekindle old friends.

The Boomers+ group was formed about 12 years ago and was a great success since membership to the JCC was increased and a social camaraderie was formed by many of the attendees. Some of these associations still exist today!

After a short hiatus, and many requests, The Boomers+ group was reactivated by some of the former attendees under the auspices of the Sarasota Manatee Jewish Federation. The group still strives for social interaction with fun events planned throughout the year. The term Boomers+ is used with a grain of salt since many of the original participants no longer fall into the time frame of 1946-1964.
