Shalom Baby welcomes parents and their newborns or newly adopted children into our community. We invite families who are expecting, or have recently celebrated the arrival of a baby (or babies), to contact us for a complimentary Shalom Baby Gift Basket, including special baby items and a helpful resource guide for our Jewish community.
Register for Shalom BabyCommuniteen is a two-year program that encourages students in exploring their Jewish identity using Jewish sources to discuss family history, life issues and their personal relationship to the Jewish people. There are no tests and no homework. Classes are discussion based, guided by expert teachers able to relate to teens.
Each year, The Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee awards college scholarships to qualified applicants. In addition to general scholarships, there are three designated scholarships available.
Community youth program designed for teens in 9th – 12th grades. Kol Echad is a great opportunity for teens to get together in a relaxing environment, participate of fun activities and make new friends.
Bob Malkin Young Ambassadors
We send teenagers to Israel with the hope they return as young adults with a love for Israel and a renewed sense of Judaism in general. Think you have what it takes to join the Young Ambassadors?
The Boomers+ are a group of active seniors, 50 and over, who enjoy the camaraderie of others with informal social events every few months and no pre-established agenda. It could be a dinner, a brunch or any other type of entertainment offering the group a fun time and a chance to meet new or rekindle with old friends.
Computers 4 Seniors provides effective training to older adults in computer technology which enables them to enter the computer era and enhance their lives. There are 12 students in each class with an instructor and one or more coaches who work as a team. Every student gets the individual attention needed to understand the course material. The price of each course is $70.00.
The Federation, in partnership with the Foundation for Jewish Camp and the Jewish Funders’ Network, has funds available for Jewish children planning to attend not-for-profit Jewish overnight camps for the summer of 2009.
IMPACT Sarasota
Whether we have kids or are still looking for our mate; regardless of our line of work or where we come from, we all have one thing in common: a need to reach out to others like us and strengthen the connections within Jewish Sarasota through friendship and fun activities. IMPACT offers area Jews an opportunity to make new friends and enjoy networking within our own growing community.

The Bob & Esther Heller Israel Advocacy Initiative was created to advocate for peace and security in Israel through education; and raise awareness of and actively confront anti-Semitism and Radical Islam on a global level.
The Lion of Judah is a symbol of today’s Jewish Woman’s strength, a symbol of her caring about the organized Jewish world and a symbol of her financial commitment of at least $5,000. More than 16,000 women world-wide are Lions of Judah. The program brings together women of all walks of life in order to play an essential role in creating social justice, healing the sick, feeding the hungry, preserving human dignity and building Jewish identity.
